Ryan Ross lives near Estherville on the farm where he was raised. He lives with his wife Kristin, daughters Emma and Quimby and son Eli. He farms 400 acres of corn and soybeans. Ryan joined Red Rock Wing Energy's Board of Managers in 2010.

Ryan graduated from Iowa State University in Ames with a degree in Agronomy and Agri Business. He is also a graduate of the Iowa Corn Growers Association's I-LEAD program.

Renewable energy has fascinated him for years. Ryan says "I want to see the wind power industry thrive in my own backyard. I want to see the economic benefits come to my community. I want to know that I helped play a part in the clean energy movement to make a better environment for my children's world. Leave it better than you found it."
